Hey There
I help business and HR leaders craft internal communication strategies that build trust, spark meaningful connections, and energize workforces to deliver real, impactful results.
It's often the role that finds you, not the other way around. Maybe you inherited it as "just another hat" to wear or maybe it landed in your lap because someone saw your knack for connecting with people and maybe writing an awesome email or two.
I was working toward my Bachelor's Degree in English, was young and needed a job, a friend's dad hired me to make a few bucks at his Real Estate Development firm. Learned a great tip from a VP: absorb everything you can in business. Learn it all.
Started in an Exec Admin/Employee Engagement role supporting a CEO, where I learned what leaders need from their teams to drive results and discovered my passion for creating experiences that truly engage employees and infuse a bit of fun.
Moved on from the EA role to pursue a more lucrative path, earned my real estate license and learned the art of selling homes. Gained an understanding of being out in the field, and how I drive business results.
Dove into overseeing the development of a multi-million-dollar building and quickly learned what it takes to lead a team of construction, sales, and marketing pros—while inspiring them to hit the numbers.
Got back to the strategic table with business leaders, gaining insight into what drives them, how they operate, and the vulnerability they often face when tasked with inspiring a workforce to deliver results.
Before going on maternity leave with my second son, I was offered an opportunity to fill the newly vacant Internal Comms position that, at the time, I had no idea what it entailed. But when I read the job description, it felt like a perfect match—everything I do, believe in, and envision for how communications should work to unite a workforce.
I've also walked tne Entrepreneurial Path,
even with years of corporate experience under my belt. I’ve partnered with businesses in diverse capacities and even co-own a business with my husband. These dual experiences—navigating the complexities of corporate structures and the adaptability required in entrepreneurship—have shaped me into the communications strategist I am today. It's this unique blend of perspectives that allows me to create strategies that truly connect, inspire, and deliver results.
Let's be real.
So I got scrappy and spent hours and hours googling, reading blog posts, listening to podcasts, watching webinars, downloading resource after resource and adopting tools (even building new ones) to suit my style and the needs of my organization.
Above all, I focused on the most important skill—being human. Leading with empathy, understanding what employees need, what frustrates them, and what motivates them. I combined that with a strategic partnership with business leaders, a clear view of the business goals, and aligned both to drive real connection and results.
"I've been a part of a lot of M&A activity and have worked with my fair share of Internal Comms folks. Ana's one of the best there is."
